When I was about 5 years old my little brother and I did eat dry dog food. It was really bad though. I quit eating it when I was around 34 years old. Blue (the cat) says he cannot stand it when I do that. He really thinks cat food is the only food your suppose to eat. No never tried that canned stuff too many perservatives. Do not want my teeth to get funny... Giggling

Lived on the streets for 8 1/2 years. Where else you going to get your veggies, meat daily for under 25 cents. In the 80's that's what a can of dog food cost and it ain't too bad....

I tried it once when I was like ten. We had a dog who wouldn't hardly ever touch his dog food unless you fed it to him by hand. As soon as you picked some up he'd go nuts, what was just boring instantly became a treat for him. He'd eat the whole bag if you fed it to him by hand. I got curious about how he could be so excited about a hard little ball. So I tried one when no one was around. I immediately spat it out like a millisecond after it touched my tongue. It was salty, bitter and just plain gross. I tossed it out and have never been tempted to try anything but "people" food since.

No, but my hubby played a fantastic trick on some of the neighborhood kids. He purchased some Scooby snacks for the dogs one day and saw these little packets of Scooby Graham Snacks at the check out counter. Well, he couldn't resist buying them. What he did with them when he arrived home was open both sets of snacks and placed the small packet of graham snacks in the box of dog snacks. The boys had their friends over and my hubby walked into the game room with the box of dog treats and starting munching away on the graham ones in the bag. All the kids were grossed out but he kept at it thoroughly enjoying himself. Eventually the oldest of the lot walked up to my hubby and asked if they were really as good as he was acting they were. My hubby's reply was," Try one and find out." The kid did and immediately spit it out with a few choice words and my hubby pulling the graham bag out of the box and laughing his bum off.
