I would personally say The Flame by Cheap Trick is a good song.

Ummm let's see
What's better....?
Patience by G&R
Season Of Wither by Aerosmith
Dead Flowers by The Rolling Stones
The Rain Song by Led Zeppelin makes November Rain sound sick.
Ain't No Love In The Heart Of The City by Whitesnake
Ready For Love by Bad Company
Night In White Satin by The Moody Blues is about 1,000 times a better ballad.
Hard Luck Woman by KISS
Don't Know What You Got Till It's Gone by Cinderella
Every Rose Has It's Thorn by Poison
Sweet Child O' Mine by G&R
Are all Way Way Wayyyy better rock ballads.

"Ballrooms Of Mars" by T.Rex kicks its ***.

"I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend" by the Ramones also superior.

"Ring The Bells" by the Kinks is also very lovely.

"Gimme Danger" by the Stooges is also a hell of a ballad. And "I Wanna Be Your Dog" if that counts.

In fact I don't like Guns N Roses that much at all. I don't mean that as an insult to you, I just personally don't much care for them.

Aerosmith's "Dream On" is the quintessential rock ballad, in my opinion.

I really like "November Rain", but "Dream On" wins for me, in this category.

I don't think Enter Sandman is a ballad, but do love it. I enjoy Guns N Roses Don't You Cry Tonight.
