I would like a list of the top 40 to 100 songs for each week during march 2007 in the usa?

That wouldn't be that hard. If you take by implication that the charts would reflect airplay, go to the charts.

Try "music charts" or "top-100" in your favorite search engine and see what pops up.

As a last resort, go to www.billboard.com. Go to the contact us section and email the charts editor. I don't want to publish it here, but it's easy enough to find. If you ask nicely and have a legitimate reason for asking (school asssignment or such) he might be persuaded to email you the International Top-100 chart for that time period. Or the US Hot-100 (if your interest is just the States).

That would be the closest you can get without getting actual logs from one of the monitoring services - which would require a subscription.

if your talking globally no such list.
you can look up various list for the year that people was buying and what was in the charts
