"I hate the word aspiring because to me it is associated with all the people who claim they are "Aspiring Actors" who have undoubtedly failed at their feebish attempts to become famous, their hidden intent that even they are too dumb to recognize. It is discouraging. A lost cause. You are dooming yourself if you add the word aspiring before your dream profession which is only linked with the petty, untalented, brainwashed failures obsessed with the glitz and glamor of their rootless so called passion. In simpler terms, aspiring is a camoflouged deathwish to the unreasonable hopefulls. Yet somehow there are still people who gain a foolish sense of encouragement when adding the word aspiring before their falsely desired profession, a matterless stepping stone for their greed of material manifestations. Its so god damn pretentious and it scares the hell out of me. But I am almost the biggest hypocryte of them all because I admit to being this type of person that shares the same want for a profession that can lead to fame and fortune. But, hey at least I'll admit it. But the difference is I am seeking the satisfaction of being good at something that I believe I have the capabilities for. And if not, at least I never proclaimed to be and "aspiring actor". Just a man in search of a skill that he can master and bring satisfaction for himself and others. Man needs only three basic things in life: Love,Health, and the need for self-expression." -Blake Perret

They're all servers at restaurants, unfortunately for them. And unless the magical director or producer sits at one of their tables and "discovers" them, they're going to be living on tips until they get a real job. There was a guy in my high school that was very popular, in all the theater productions, and was nominated for prom court even as a sophomore. Never knew or cared what became of him, then one day I caught him on a rerun of an old show, never saw him do anything after that. I wonder if he's in LA right now waiting tables, or if he moved back home and works at the plant like everyone else in that town.

Aspiring actors would mean an ambition to be in the field of showbusiness. I see your point, but try not to look in the negative way and it will mean the right way. Aspring in the sense that they are just to be moulded as an actor or actresses. Being an actor requires a lot of trainings and skills in the field of showbusiness. You cannot just be called an actor or actress in a stage play if you have not undergone a training or schooling in the field you are into. It is just that as students you have to aspire to become one. It is an ambition of a person what he wants in life to be. It is how you interpret it.

Thanks for asking. Have a great day!

some people really do have a passion for it tho, i think this guy was a hypocrite...i go to acting class 6 hours a week, go to auditions usually 2, and im only a kid. i wouldn't be doing this if i didn't love going on the auditions and going to class because im not crazy.

i believe that anyone who considers themselves and actor is one and anyone who says they "want to be an actor" or "I'm aspiring to be an actor" isn't... its like that saying 'whether you say you can or say you cant....you're right.' everyone will consider you what you consider yourself, and therefore that is what you are

li just think this guy was trying to sound smart

There is no such thing as aspiring. If you're an actor, you're an actor. If you're a writer, you're a writer. Your truck is not a Ford "aspiring" to be a Chevy any more than your truck is a Chevy "aspiring" to be a Ford. It is what it is.
