Insurmountable problems. Let me used two sayings from each: In the West "the squeaky wheel gets the grease." Meaning we encourage individualism, approve of speaking up, and value different views as a means to solve problems. One's roll is to discover one's role in life and what is best for you. In the Orient, "the nail that sticks up gets pounded down." Individualism is discouraged, oppresed in fact. The view of the group is more important and one's roll is tdicatd by the group. In the east individualism is a failure. In the west a success.
