It use to be a half hour show. Why now an hour. My Tivo only taped half of it.

it was done to fill the empty spot with scrubs...not that many episodes since its scrubs final season..i believe this week was the last week

Only the first four episodes were an hour long. It'll go back to being 30 minutes from now on (unless they extend it again for sweeps).
It seemed like the hour long episodes were just two episodes mushed together without playing the theme song for a second time. I think they only started with hour long episodes for sweeps and to attract more people to the show.

Scrubs starts again next Thursday at 9:30 and The Office goes back to a 30 minute episode.

The first four episodes of the season are one hour long, after that it goes back to a half-hour long.
