It's not working "against you" any more than you are working against it!

Gravitational force depends on the mass of BOTH objects (you and the planet, both). Therefore, if you had no mass, then you'd have no weight, and the Earth's gravity would not affect you at all (or vices versa).

Gravity doesn't work "against" anything or anybody.
Unlike magnetic force, it only attracts and never repels.
The Earth's gravity pulls at your mass, but only as much as you pull at the Earth. When you both come in contact, that ends your fall (as you smack against the Earth).

Yeah! That's it!

I haven't lost all of my muscle tone and become a disgusting fat pile of blubber.

It's been gravity working against me for all of these years!

Don't know if the wife will believe this one, but it sure is different.

Move to Venus or another planet where the gravitational pull is lesser, if you aren't happy with the gravity here on earth.

Good luck with that!

actually to defeat gravity you have to go to the gravity monster and convince it that it needs a nap, this is extremely hard i've only ever heard of it being done once and he woke up before anyone could notice.

Because the earth is bigger than you, and you are matter, and therefore, affected by the Earth's gravitational pull.
