Hi. Most have an "Exception" setting. Look for it.

Well..I hope you are using Windows XP.

1. Go to Start -> Control Panel -> and double-click "Windows Firewall"

2. Click "Exception" tab

3. Make sure that "Limewire" is listed there. If its not then move to No.4. If it is listed there move to No.6

4. Click "Add Program" button and browse the LimeWire Directory (usually Program Files\LimeWire) and select the .exe(LimeWire.exe).

5. Click "OK" then, Limewire will be listed there.

6. Make sure that the LimeWire box (on the left) is checked.

7. Then click "OK".

Thats it. It should be working now. Hope I answered your question. Enjoyzzz

try turning it off...or go to the firewall settings and type inLimewire under "allowed" etc...
tho warning limewire may have loads of little nasties waiting..so scan the info/file etc.. first
and turn the firewall settings on after downloading

turn it off either in control panel it will be labeled windows firewall or you can do it through the options in explorer

i wouldn't advise doing it if you do any bills/taxes on that computer as turning off the fire wall leaves you open to identity theft among other things..........

Disable FireWall and there you go. ;)

NOT recommended though unless you want some cutey hackers. -+-
