The answer is A,B and D. Ok, so the square root of 64 is 8 right? because: 8x8=64....this means if you square 8, then the answer becomes 64. So the square root of 64 is 8 :) The square root of 25 follows the same way: 5x5=25....Square 5, get 25....the square root of 25, then, is 5. SO the square root of 64 times the square root of 25 is basically just 8x5 so 8x5=40 The answer is 40. Or, multiple choice answer is B. Basically, to get A as your answer... square root of 25 times the square root of 64 this is the same as 5 times 64. Which is the answer to A. To get D as your answer, we can just times the numbers inside the square roots together. 25x64=1600 So the answer is the square root of 1600. Which is also answer D. :)

Because √ means the principal square root ... the one that isn't negative! There are two square roots, but the symbol √ means just the principal square root. The Principal Square Root is sometimes called the Positive Square Root.
