Of course. No question. If I were the only match, for someone to live, absolutely. I'm an organ donor on my DL already.

Well, I plan on being an organ donor when I die, so...yes, I would. I'd no longer have any use for them, so why not?
I have donated bone marrow before (a very painful process, I might add), and I always said I'd donate a kidney to someone who needed it if the opportunity arose. I have two, and it is very possible for someone to live on one kidney. I'd be happy knowing that I contributed something...that I made a difference, you know?

I already gave part of an organ my liver, not to a stranger but to bitter rotten old alcoholic. I would've rather given it to a stranger.

As long as I had a backup, sure. A friend of mine recently went through all the testing and found out she was the best match for her friend's daughter. She had to have one last test and through that test she found out that she had a rare form of kidney cancer that is usually fatal by the time you know you have. Had she not gone through the process she would probably have died.

I would definitely give bone marrow to a dying leukemia patient.
