Oh yeah! We have I meant Direct TV which according to my sister who has Dish is way better than Dish, with HD DVR's and TIVO! Nothing could be better!

What "stinks" is the cost. I pay for channels that I never watch. I have around 400 channels and only watch about 6 of them. I think we should be able to pick and choose each channel that we want and not pay for those that we don't. These "package" deals (which are not deals at all) are outrageous. Yes, I agree with you.

Yes cable stinks........ my son has the worst cable company in California. We get outstanding regular and HD service from Directv and to be exposed to Cable again is disgusting.

the _content_ of cable television services often is different than any one subscriber's interest. That is because they are trying to balance a wide spectrum of interest with the ability to make a profit (without which they would not remain in business).
If there are no channels whatsoever that you like, contact your cable company and suggest interests they might carry.

I like digital cable. It's so much better than satellite. You can search for shows almost a week ahead and it doesn't go out when there is a storm. Satellite "stinks" in my opinion. I am so glad I have cable now.

Nah. I have cable, and I'm cool with it.
I guess satellite is ok, too. Friends that have it complain about the signal going out during thunderstorms all the time.
But I guess either is good.
I love my broadband internet though. Can't beat the cable modem.

Yes, I don't have cable and I am very proud and happy about it. Cable is so dumb... who has time for that much TV to watch!
