class and greatness? Seems like they are a bunch of petty back stabbers, the guy won 4 World Series and now a bunch of weasel bankers that probably never even played baseball before is treating like he's a punk? Whatshappening to this once great orgnization?

I think it is about time we, as Yankees' fans, send a message to the utterly moronic Steinbrenner family. And an all out boycott of the team and the YES network is necessary. It is unfathomable that an executive group can be this stupid. I would spit in Randy Levine's face if I saw him. I urge all Yankees' fans to start a grass roots movement and boycott all things Yankee. Please! Tell your friends family. Explain it to them all. If we can effect their bottom line, maybe then they'll use some common sense. and finally, if Mattingly has the nerve to take the job I will go to opening day a personally boo louder than ever before. He has no right taking the position. Unless Torre is hired back at for three years. I will devote my life to leading a boycott and taking money out of the Steinbrenner family's pockets. They're abhorrent and deplorable miscreants!!! They make me sick. And they should pay for their behavior. It is up to us. Please join me. Let's make a difference. I wrote to Bill Madden of the Daily News (NY) with these same sentiments. I suggest emailing him with your thoughts. Let us be heard!

Hi Yankee Fan...welcome to reality...now it is really over...the Steinbrenner sons will handle Daddy's money in a much different manner. Emotion will be gone and their bottom line will be their own pockets, until they sell the team. Over paying for has-been all stars will end, the payroll will come down a little, the championship core of players will retire or go elsewhere, and you will have to depend on the same factors of all other teams...face it...George was one of a kind, Trump like, if you will...he had millions, and bought the Yankees as a toy...I respect him, because all he wanted to do is win, and he did, all out of his own pocket...but he is done, and the boys are in charge now. The entitlement of Yankee fans thinking they are owed a World Series is over...welcome back, and good luck in your managerial search...

A Met Fan...LOL

Where have you been the last 30 years? Steinbrenner is as low-class as they come. They almost fired Torre a year ago, so if you were informed you shouldn't be so surprised. A lot of managers would have quit long before Torre did. I admire him as a person, but I think he should have quit earlier instead of taking so much abuse from the front office.
