ok, I;m a college freshman on fall break who intended to study and catch up this weekend. But I'm enjoying resting and seeing my family. So should I feel bad about not doing the extra studying after all?

Some professors don't really care about fall break, so if you were assigned work, I would go ahead and kick it out of the way. If you weren't assigned work. You can probably do a leisurely study ...not so serious and just a free lance, stop when you want to study. Being a college student comes along with growing up and responsibility. It is important to keep priorities straight. IF you do not pass, you won't be able to enjoy your Christmas break because you will be so devestated about the failing grade! Although spending time with family is what Fall Break is for, some professors expect you to do what is priority and THEY ALWAYS THINK that their work is priority.

Sorry that you don't have a little more time with the family but maybe you can let them help you with the work.

it might make things easier when you go back to do a little extra studying. but I don't think it is absolutely necessary. Especially if you study when you are actually IN school.

A good thing about being a freshman is learning from your mistakes. Try to manage your time. Do half-and-half. You can spend a lot of time with your family and still have time to do homework.

never say guilt! But take any advantage to study if needed. Enjoy this time in college because this you can never get back.

No enjoy yourself, get out in the fall weather. Just be prepared to do some heavy cramming upon your return.

there is no harm in studying. you can study while hanging out with family of friends. the sooner you start. the less you have to study later on.
