It is not the bladder that leaks. It is a weakness or loss of control of the urinary sphincter muscle at the neck of the bladder. The condition is called incontinence and there are varying degrees of it. If a person has had trauma say they can lose complete control of the sphincter and cannot hold urine at all. Then there is stress incontinence. This is where a small amount of urine will leak if a person, usually a woman, laughs, or lifts something up. This is caused by a weakness in the pelvic floor usually from childbirth and the condition is common. If the latter is you then you can try kegel exercises in an attempt to strengthen the muscles of the pelvic floor that make up the sphincter muscle. Or you can use the undergarments or pads made for this reason. There now maybe a surgical option. Those are your drug free options, and I am not sure the meds. would help anyway.

Did he give you the stuff that makes
your pee bright pumpkin orange,
that's what I'm taking. I caught a viral infection
at the hospital, while I was having some tests run.
The best way to strengthen those
little muscles in that tender area
is by using the tune "Jingle Bells",
when you start to "pee".
This is much better than spending money
on a device that you don't really need.
Most guys cannot do this,
they don't have control
over their flow of urine.
When a guy starts to pee,
usually the only way he can stop
is when he's done or
if he puts his finger over the the hole
& most of the time that
doesn't work real well either.
Think about the rhythm of "Jingle Bells".
Consider the letter "X" as a musical note.
X X X, X X X , X X X XX,
and if you pee and stop at each note, you will learn to strenghten those muscles and you can spend that $25 on something better.
I've been doing this little trick for almost 55 years,
now.
I'm 59, when I was very young,
my Nana taught me to do this
because I had been having a UTI
and wasn't making it to the
bathroom quick enough.
I have taught all my kids how to do this,
my sons & my late hubby had the
most difficult time in learning how to do it.
Our doctor said this will help keep
down UTIs, because you are teaching
your bladder how to empty itself thoroughly.
You might try this along
with the medication that the doctor prescribed.
There are several herbs that are
good for this "Evening Primrose" tea
was the first thing that came to mind,
but you can check any of the
herbal shops or health food shops in your area.

I've gotten great feedback from men and women that taken and eaten Pumpkin seeds and Pumpkin Seed Oil for inflamed/weak bladder. You can get it in capsule and liquid form or just add pumpkin seeds to your diet.
Also, Nettle is supposed to help with better bladder function and strength.
