I vow this is true. My youngest daughter has had 3 run over-all different ways-fell from pocket during a parade, she ran over 2 of them. Her boyfriend also dropped one onto a rock bluff. Yes, she has insurance, but has had different carriers.

A friend of mine put his in the pocket of his shorts, and then went swimming in the shorts.
Same guy did the same thing, only this time put the shorts through the wash.
Another friend of mine had hers in her back pocket, and then slipped and went down a flight of stairs on her tush. She was OK, but the phone was history.
Another friend had her small son put hers in the toilet.

Today I know of a guy who said no way was there water damage to his cell phone, but there was. He said he keeps it in his pocket all the time. I noticed his big sweaty hand also stayed in his pocket often. Put one plus one together.... :-)

My friends phone fell in the toilet, it was in her back pocket and just went in.
My other friend spilled 5 Molar Hydrochloric Acid on his.
I dropped mine out of a window, but it was fine (I acually didn't drop it, my friend threw it out the window)

I have a friend who's Blackberry fell into the toilet.... yup, he retrieved it! Did it work afterward? Nope. He bought another one, still has it in fact. It's an inside joke now between my friends and I.

My wife's dog thinks they are the most delicious dog food avalable and doesn't stop at eating ours but she ate a neighbor Lady's cell phone too, I'm going to have her teeth capped with rubber!

I was driving and my boyfriend had put my cell on the dash. We were being silly, and I took a hard turn... OUT the window it goes! Right into in intersection! No more celly for me!
