I say Joe Girardi. Hes been a manager before and did much better than expected with a team built to dwell in the basement of the league.
I do not want to see Don Mattingly. While i loved him while growing up, nothing good cam to the franchise while he was there. As soon as he retired, the Yankees won the World Series. As whatever type of coach he is now, the Yankees have gone one and done in the playoffs. I think hes cursed. I'd like to see either Girardi or LaRussa, if Larussa is still available.

Joe Girardi, because he's been on World Series Yankee teams in the past. He knows what it takes to win. Mattingly was no more than a coach.

All I know is I already miss Joe Torre ;(
I'm sure I will become an instant fan of the next team he manages (if he does). But I also love both Don and Joe G I wouldn't want any one other than these two take over for Torre. I'd be happy with either but am leaning more towards Joe G. The Yankees are going to be so different without him. Now all the other players are going to leave like Mo and some of the other ones who have grown with Torre.

I like Don Mattingly but Joe Giradi has experience as a manager, but I would like to see Mattingly given a shot though
