At least $2,000 a year and that is probably a conservative figure.

Years ago, a friend told me that she saves dollar bills that have serial numbers starting with the letter G. I recently remembered that story, and now in addition to throwing my change in the bucket, I put all my "L dollars" in there. I hope by spring to have enough to go on a European vacation.

Probably the same amount or more I do it with a cup though, but then in times I get greedy and always take a little out of it. It's a bad habit, it's like working for something then just blowing it all because you didn't think of the consequences.

Wise man, we average about $25 to $35 a month but then we have a smaller container. It makes for a nice night out.

I did that when I got my first job and was able to pay for a trip to London with spending money a year later. Granted it was a school trip so it was cheaper than it would have been on my own but at least I was able to go.

That's really good. I'm going to start seeing how much I can save in a year.

What an awesome idea. I started doing that a long time
ago and it is helping, in a small way, to pay down our car
debt. Every little bit helps doesn't it?? Great question!!!

All loose change goes into the piggy banks. Never counted it yet though. I feel really sorry for the teller that gets to handle that job.
