I'm assuming there is some kind of dress code...The Boston Red Sox with overgrown beards, pooka shells, hair extentions, doo rags, to me are pushing the envelope. Seems very cloppy and unprofessional to me. Manny Ramirez barely keeps his hat on. His extentions are well over his shoulders. All doo rag all the time. Looks terrible. I see it as an insult to MLB, the fans, and their team.

Character? Presenting yourself like a slob? Terry Francona's doesn't like and I assume the Red Sox brass doesn't as well. I think they tolerate it to appease the players. If you don't think Manny is pushing th eenvelope than you are just a straight Redsox kool-aid drinker.

They should, have you see Manny Ramirez's pants? or his helmet? or hair?

He is a disgrace to the game!

Send him home!

That would be a personal grooming code.

It is up to the individual teams. The Reds, under Large Marge, were notorious for requiring clean-shaven faces.

The Yankees have a dress code. They don't allow long hair and hair on your face. That is the only team I know that has a dress code.

Well than it's a good thing that you aren't a Red Sox fan. We (my fellow sox fans and myself) don't mind in the slightest the way that they dress. It is the way our team is and we love it. You can hate it all you want, but it is no insult to us. What is it hurting? Have you ever heard of a little thing called character?

I see your point. If Manny cut his hair and took off his doo rag, he'd be a much better player. Someone on here earlier mentioned his poor English skills. If he could speak like us, he'd have 590 home run instead of 490. You're right. Hell, why don't we just have a dress code for the US? That way no one would look especially different. That would be better. It would be okay for people with accents to work here, but at night they have to go back to there home countries. Oh, and let's go back to the days when black people knew their place, too. That would be easier and better for them, too, because they don't appreciate money and power. And what about the days when women were mom's or nurses. Let's go back to that, too. God, lunches were better back then. In fact, I don't see why us white men just don't take back what was ours. No one appreciates apple pie, mom, chevrolets and the US like us! We should just be in total power. No mustaches on our watch!!!!!!

Stop judging them by the way they dress. If thats the way they want to dress then let it be. What are you the fashion police?
