I keep hearing lots of comments how Americans are so dumb and how they believe everthing their media tells them. Perhaps it's true. But are you telling me that out of this whole world, Americans are the only ones who beleive everything thier media tells them? I'm sure there's media bias in every country, but for some reason it's mostly the Americans who get criticised for 'swalloing eveything they say' Nobody's perfect you know.

well, I'm not going to say "everything the media says is true"...
but have you ever looked at where those people who say the meida has "brainwashed everyone" get their news? HAHAHA... it's hilarious who they "trust"

No, the Americans are not the only nation whose people are brainwashed, but they are the most "brainwashed" of any nation.
Many people in Australia are sceptical about the media, and so they should be, but they have over the years accepted lies about government policies and actions and about US and British actions and policies.
British too, are a sceptical lot, but they too have been brainwashed (like the Australians) to believe some of their governments policies etc.
Palestinians and other Muslims have been massively brainwashed about Israel, Judaism and Zionism that they do not know the truth.
Many Thais do not know the history of their own country, or of their King (who killed his older brother in 1947 so he could take the throne). Many other nationalities are ignornant about the true history of countries.

Even more so just look at the cartoons shown on jihad TV.
Every couple of weeks we see a new abomination from the Middle East where cartoon characters are espousing violence against Jews or western civilization, and of course they watch it.
don't blame the kids they're just kids watching the tube but the adults WHAT could they be thinking.

Americans dont believe everything the media tells them, but Americans who watch FOX/GOP-TV DO BELIEVE EVERYTHING THAT MEDIA GIANT TELLS THEM. There's a big difference. Most people who watch CNN also listen to MSNBC and other sources, plus they read several blogs, read other articles printed elsewhere with different viewpoints. HOWEVER, IT IS AN ESTABLISHED FACT THAT AMERICANS WHO WATCH FOX/GOP-TV ONLY GET THEIR INFORMATION FROM FOX/GOP-TV AND FROM NO OTHER SOURCE. You might say, accurately, that they are "brainwashed", but you have to have a brain first before it can be washed.

Well in most other countries the media openly controlled by the Govt. while in the US the same Govt. control is hidden by "Freedom of the Press" when actually each major political party (Dems/GOP) basically run all the major US news networks.

well i would say Americans are more brainwashed by media than other western countries,and i`m sorry to say our media(UK) is just as biased. The only thing that saves us from being the most brainwashed is our national suspicion of politicians .
if they said the sky is blue the general public would think they were lying

They think, in the end, that we'll turn and run.
