I have a 92 Cadillac Deville, and the only problem with it is that it turns off sometimes. It can go a while before it turns off.....or sometimes it'll turn off then 5 min later turn off again. When it turns off I don't have a problem with cranking it back up....cranks up perfectly. One thing about when it turns off is that the Charge Battery and Change Oil light will come on.

Bad fuel pump is the most common issue with GM.

Does it tend to die under acceleration? (fuel pump or filter)

Does it tend to die at stop signs? (EGR valve sticking or vacuum leak)

Does it die while cruising at a moderate speed? ((Ignition module)

I'd check the idle, than the air cleaner and fuel filter and EGR valve. All that fails; take it to a Cadillac Dealer.

I might sound stupid here, but do you have a Northstar engine? it was designed to turn off a few cylinders at highway speeds, could be turning them all off? I do like the fuel filter idea though.

take it to a parts store like auto zone they can run a diagnostic on it ,,,,free,,,, but to me sounds like a relay is going out , or the map censer in going bad.
