Damned straight! I can tell that it annoys the hell out of people that are behind me, but I couldn't care less....and besides, those tracks are bad on your tires!

I do slow down and look if there is no train coming I go. It takes a train an average of 1 mile to stop after applying the emergency brakes. Please remember to look for a train at all crossings. The average locomotive by itself weigh in a 120 to 180 tons, add the weight of the cars and what they are filled with and you can see how difficult it is to stop. Kinetic energy is a killer.

No I don't. I just go the usual speed and really don't pay attention. I just listen for a train horn.
