I guess "Baby" makes me feel strange but is not completely discomforting. No one really ever called me that so, I can only associate my "strange" feeling with the fact that it's never been said - rather than taking any sort of offense to the term.
Being called something else? Hmmm, I've never been called anything but by my name - so, I guess any other name would also seem "strange" in the same type of manner.
I guess for fun there is a name I'd like to be called ~ LOL ~ but I don't think I can say that in this forum. :)
Best to you Fickle 1,
Gerry :)

I do not mind being called honey ,babe , spider monkey, sweetems , or other terms of endearment
If they are truly felt and meant then why not it is a sign of affection
The one thing I do know is I mean what I say and say what I mean
If I call someone a term of endearment or I love you and not mean it then I am no friend,no companion but a love sick puppy teen.

Funny...since I clicked on this question my roommate called me baby twice! (My roommate's a guy by the way.) No, I don't mind being called baby at all. All my guy friends always call me that and I don't think I've ever had a boyfriend who didn't call me baby.
I had an ex boyfriend who whenever he called me the first thing out of his mouth was "baaaaby!"

It makes me sick to be called "babe" or "baby."
My sister calls her boyfriend that all the time. Oh yuck.
