Ok, My husband is out of town and I am going to see him. We want to start trying to concieve. However I am suppose to start my period while I am there. Do you think that I could still get pregnant or no? I am really unsure we want an August baby But I am seeing him the first week of Nov and won't see him again until first week of Dec. I think there is a short window in there where we can concieve and still have a August baby. Any ideas?

It is very unlikely. Most women don't ovulate until 7-10 days or so after their period. If you can figure out when you are ovulating, that is the ideal time to "try".

Sure. It may not be as likely as other times, but it is possible. Sperm can live for 4-5 days inside of you, I believe (at least 3 anyway!). In order to maximize sperm count, I hear it's best to only have sex every couple or three days from the time you start your period until 16 days afterward. Gives you the best chance. But if you're only going to see him for a couple of days, you should probably have sex as soon as you get there, and right before you go, anyway! Live it up! Relax! That's important for conception too!

I got pregnant on the last day of my period with my nine year old daughter. We calculated it from that date and I had her on my actual die date so I know the timing was right. Good luck, it's possible!

You can't concieve while you are on your period. Good luck.
