order to spite Sen. Reid.

Knowing the mean-spiritedness of the right-wing, who in their right minds can possibly believe that?

Another right-wing stunt backfires on the GOP?

Other than this is not a question but rather a statement of your political position, what impact does the act of a private citizen have on the crooks in Congress? What I find frightening is a branch of our government attacking a private citizen for their political views. Looks like that Democrats are implementing modern day McCarthyism.

What does it matter whether it was done out of mean spiritedness or not? It had a great effect. Personally I would have picked a different charity, but it is still great that so much money was raised for a charity.

I despise Limbaugh, but the only thing mean spirited here is pretending that raising millions tp help others is a bad thing.

What is your definition of mean-spiritedness? Instead of attacking (in kind) the vicious attacks by the Democratic Congress, Rush turned their lemons into lemonade and raised a record breaking amount of money for a wonderful military charity...one I might add that he has been a part of for many years...not something new that he did to deflect this stupid criticism. How you can call this a backfire is beyond comprehension.

Face it...Rush is a genius and your Lib representatives have no idea how to deal with him.

Hi...

Actually, you're showing how you're influenced by what you're told, but not enough to check your facts.

Rush Limbaugh made a HUGE effort to rub Dingy Harry's nose in his own mess.

Warm regards,
Douglas

Post Script: The very fact that he auctioned the letter to benefit the families of fallen service members was do to illustrate his compassion and support for our Armed Forces...
This is a genuine example of his continued support.

Are you really so uninformed or gullible that you really believe Harry Reid's comments about Limbaugh's "Phony Soldier" comments?
Perhaps you should do a self examination and see if you're willing to compromise your own credibility to accept the lack of credibility of the Democrat leaders?

Warm regards,
Douglas

I definitely am not a Rush fan, but auctioning that letter & giving the proceeds to charity was a class act. If Senator Reid can see that & comment on it, why can't you accept it?

As far as the resolution - actually both the one against Rush & against MoveOn - since when does the US Senate have the right to speak out against anyone's 1st Amendment rights? Before you right wingers climb aboard on this, don't forget there were a lot of YOUR people who voted for it also.

Harry Reid's smear campaign is the only thing that backfired. When are the democraps who signed the letter going to match Rush's $2 million contribution?

Noticing all the responses, it looks as though just about everyone thinks you're a idiot.

Wait until you will read this:
Harry Reid took to the floor of the Senate and tried to horn in on the credit for this brilliant refutation of his smear, as if he'd meant his letter to help raise money for MC-LEF all along. Translation: "You win, Rush." Reid made no mention of Rush's matching contribution, nor did he say if any of the 41 Democrat signatories will match the bid as Rush has called on them to do. I love what Rush did... The "idiots" who wrote the letter in the first place-what have they done for any charity?... Rush is more of a saint than people give him credit for... He made Reid look like a complete fool and justifiably so.... Everyone has their favorite charities, Rush has his. He met that bid dollar for dollar of his own money.... and showed America what Reid and all the Dem's are all about... GO RUSH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ans isnt it illegal to have the government personally attack a citizen... Rush gets the facts and they didn't like it.... "Reid you are a complete idiot and all your followers........

mean-spiritedness of the right wing? Wow. Funny the left wings in power ran with a phony story and demande an apology for something the man did not say. What about Pelosi and stark? Pelosie wanting to pass the turkey genocide bill that would cut off supplies that we get in from Turkey and would give Turkey the catalyst they want to attack the kurds? What about Stark calling our troops murders killing innocent people? Wow I think Rush does care for the troops by his track records, unlike your heros.

Hey Mary they wont put there money where there mouth is, but I bet they raise our taxes and put our money where there mouth is lol
