Too early to judge the effects of his Presidency in many ways.
I saw a list of the ranking of the Presidents by historians and it put Clinton at 21 and GWB at 22, considering there are 42 Presidents, it puts them in the middle, which suggests that historians are cautious to judge them too harshly one way or the other at this point.
By the way thouse are probably good books to read but I wouldn't consider an autobiography or a book by a bitter former advisor as very credible sources, they would certainly add or omit and exaggerate and downplay some things to make their argument.
I would suggest reading "Bill Clinton: Mastering the Presidency" by Nigel Hamilton. I'm in the middle of it, its a good book, shows the good and the bad. http://www.amazon.com/Bill-Clinton-Presidency-Nigel-Hamilton/dp/1586485164/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/105-2107786-1882847?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1192843307&sr=8-1

Greenspan the ex fed chairman thinks so and he is a Conservative Republican.
"Clinton was often criticized for inconsistency and for a tendency to take all sides in a debate, but that was never true about his economic policy, A consistent, disciplined focus on long-term economic growth became a hallmark of his presidency."
Dick Morris career was destroyed because he got caught in a sex scandal, involving toes as I recall, and no politician will hire him as a political consultant, so he makes his living trashing the Clintons.

Can you state the good things that Mr. Bill Clinton did during his eight years of office? He did not fight for the poor, except by allowing them to depend on the government even more, with the exception of what the republicans did by cutting off the limit of children the "taxpayer" pays in regards to the poor. He did not fight for the middle-class, because of the dot.com bust we paid for. We also were asked to blow up an aspirin factory in Iraq while he was in the oval office not with his wife. All because Saddam "doesn't have weapons of mass destruction." Those Kurds died of old age by the 100,000's. He did not fight for the Wealthy unless it was for his or his wife's own sake. Ask yourself why I have to pay taxes on money, and/or real estate that my parents worked all there lives for and paid taxes on already. So what did Bill Clinton do that was of any greatness except him fondling woman that were not his wife and getting away with it, because people don't see him for what he is, but what they wanted to see of him.

invoice Clinton replaced into between the worst presidents u.s. ever had. His presidentcy replaced right into a consistently mired in scandals and contributors of his administration have been committing suicide. He replaced into thoroughly ineffective as a pacesetter replaced into no longer able to bypass something of importance via congress. via how, congress did impeach him! invoice Clinton replaced into so undesirable that on the subsequent familiar election he achieved what no person because of the fact the civil warfare ought to accomplish - - turn the senate and homestead from Democrat ruled to Republican ruled! while invoice Clinton replaced into leaving place of work he pardoned 1000's of criminals a lot of which had given money to his campaigns. issues have been so undesirable, that when his vice chairman, Al Gore, ran for president he had to distance himself from the Clinton administration. Al Gore did no longer opt to be linked with Clinton while he ran for president. Why is Clinton seen a solid president as we communicate?? because of the fact the economic gadget replaced into realitivly healthful? He did no longer something to stimulate the economic gadget and his tax extra desirable unquestionably harm the economic gadget.... because of the fact the fee variety replaced into balanced??? His administration replaced into against balancing the fee variety and replaced into compelled to achieve this via a Republican congress. because of the fact u.s. replaced into at peace?? in the process his administration we've been combating in Bosnia, we had Black Hawk down in Somalia, we had terrorists bombs in the twin Towers, American Embassies, the Cole, etc... And the making plans for 9-11 replaced into all arranged in the process his administration... Any comments on the suitable of invoice Clinton is purly delusional.

I don't think he was the best president ever but lets compare him to Bush.
We are in a war that will never end and in the biggest defecet the countries ever seen.
Homeowners are getting screwed over,
The job market sucks,
Soldiers are dying and the army is dwindling because there's not enough to keep it going.
Now they're going to tap your phone to see who's calling to see if your a terrorist.
They're cutting health care for kids who are poor, don't loose your job!
And the list goes on. Yea Clinton made mistakes, but they're better than Bush's.

In answer to Mr. Bromide, statistics hide the truth. You can give credit for everthing that Clinton did to the Republican majority in congress that did everything you said.
The democrats are about to get their glory days, lets see what they do.

I'm still looking for one of his supporters to tell me what were his initiatives that created the economy of the 90's?
Well I see I can get thumps down, but the Clinton Lovers will not enumerate Clinton's initiatives or economy growing formula. I'm sure all the world's econ teachers would love that formula.

lets see, had a false economy, commited purjury, sold nuclear secrets to North Korea, let China have nuclear secrets and military secrets, let Osama Bin Laden get away several times, raised taxes, bombed Somolia and Iraq when the spotlight was being put on him in his personal life, did so without congressional or UN approval. I think that says it all to prove my point that no he was not
