If people would just use a little common sense and read a little. Or at least search on YA for the answers that so many of us have already written to the hundreds of other people that have asked this same question over and over and over and over and ...

I KNOW that there is no wind on the moon (do you really think that if they wanted to fake a moon landing they would miss the obvious).
I KNOW that the flag was supported by a thin wire horizontal from the flag pole.
I KNOW that the flag is "waving" because they twisted the flagpole to seat it firmly in the ground. Try twisting a pole with a wire sticking out and see what happens to the wire.

Get this straight and don't be foolish about it any more, okay? The basic technology required for a manned flight to the moon was developed in Germany in the late 1930s through the mid 1940s. This technology needed a lot of refinement to make a safe manned flight a reality.

We worked on that technology through the 1950s and 60s, and made the first manned moon flight in 1969. It all fits together, and if you read all the history and don't let the wackos lie to you, it will be impossible for you to continue to be fooled into believing that the moon missions did not take place.

The American people were much better educated and more intelligent in the 1960s and 70s than they are now, and it would never have occurred to NASA engineers and managers that 35 years later a bunch of ignorant dolts with nothing to do would come up with a stupid conspiracy theory stating that the moon landings were faked.

If that had occurred to them, I suspect the engineers would have gone to the trouble to create a larger and more visible object of proof, to compensate for the decline in the quality of the American mind and its education that occurred during and after the Reagan presidency.

But there is a real physical proof available. The astronauts who landed on the moon left behind reflectors that are used every day by astronomers to measure the irregularities of the moon's orbit. This is done by bouncing laser beams off reflectors at known locations that were left by the astronauts. Ask your science teacher for information about these experiments. You can arrange to see this done with your own eyes.

Let me put the question to you this way: If you think the moon landings were faked, when did they become "fake?" When did the idea become popular that NASA had invented the idea of an imaginary moon mission and created a huge technological empire to fool people? When was all this fakery done? In the 60s? 70s? 80s?

And why? What was the point? And how did they fool all the people that reported the news, operated the machinery, built the moon rockets, and watched them take off and land?

Do you realize that one American in 500 was a part of the Apollo program? Millions of them are still alive. Are they fooling you? Why? If you go out to a football game, look around you. In the stadium there are people who worked on the Apollo program.

Ask around. You are surrounded by people who know for sure that American astronauts stood on the moon more than 35 years ago.

I find that it is much easier for people who are less intelligent and less knowledgable to say 'it's a fake' or 'it's a hoax' than it is to attempt to study or understand the topic whether it be the Moon landings or anything else.

One thing that is never spoken of during these hoax discussions that are presented by persons on youtube.com and the like are exactly what do you believe in and what don't you believe in. Saying 'the Moon landings were a hoax' has become a tired cliche of late.

So... tell us what you DO believe in? The existence of airplanes? Rocket science? Sputnik? Did a dog go into orbit? Was there a Gemini program? Was there really a Soyuz program? Are space stations real? Are space walks real? Did a Viking craft land on Mars? Is there really a rover on Mars? Were the Voyager missions faked? Were the Apollo 1 fire and Challenger disaster fake? Did the Magellan probe really orbit Venus? Was the Galileo probe to Jupiter a hoax?

Come on, tell us what you DO believe in and what you DON'T.
You believe in EVERYTHING else except the lunar landings??? Think about it.

It is very easy for an intelligent person who has followed the space program to understand that Man DID land on the Moon.

It is just as easy for a moron to sit in his livingroom chair and light up a joint and say 'Nope, didn't happen'. Now you don't have to be alone in your stupidity, you can join a hoax group and not have to research anything about the space program.

Which group do you want to be in? It's your choice.

Logic 101: "THE photograph"? There are thousands of them, as well as TV footage. Why would this one alone be faked.

Logic 102: If the flag was being blown out like that, it wouldn't be a gentle breeze wafting through a TV studio now, would it? It would be a 50 knot gale. As someone mentioned, I'm pretty sure that scientists trying to fake a moon photo would manage to do better than that.

The flag stands out because they put an extra horizontal stick along its top edge to hold it that way. Because they knew there was no wind to make it stand out. See the QuickTime video in the source to see that the flag is not moving. It just hangs still from its "upside down L" shaped pole.

LOOK AT THE PICTURE!!!
http://www.solarviews.com/raw/apo/as11_40_5874.jpg
See the rod holding it up? Obviously no wind is required... Do a little research before you make an *** of yourself. Oh and by the way, as you zoom into this high rez image you might also note little bright dots above the flag and Buzz Aldrin. Ever heard this moronic statement? "Gee if they were really in space why are there no stars in the pictures?". Well there they are...

-edit-
IT´S A STILL PICTURE! YOU CAN´ T SEE MOTION IN A STILL PICTURE!
There. Now my throat is sore from shouting... Happy?

There is a metal bar across the top of the flag to keep it out like that. I saw them unfurl it amd attach the bar on TV.

All this stupid stuff about it being fake is hogwash and you are a fool if you believe it. The person who made up those lies is laughing at you.

You can't tell if the flag is moving by looking at photograph. It's just crumpled, that's all.

No opinion required. They knew if they wanted it to stand up, they had to put a pole across the top. So they did. That's why it stands up.

Another 'did we go to the moon' troll. And not a very creative one at that.
