I think I am looking at this a little differently than some of the responders here....I think of the "Walls" as something I put up to separate and protect me from someone who has hurt me....I am not at all like some others, who build walls to keep everyone out....I rarely build these walls, you see....and when I do it is because someone very close has hurt me deeply...and at one time....there was a foundation...one of trust and love and mutual respect (or so I thought) but that foundation was compromised and these walls went up suddenly without a foundation...just surprise and sadness...But on a brighter note...I am very forgiving and if the damage is repaired....I take down the walls very quickly.........

Always! Even sometimes or at times, the foundation I will need not to worry about because the foundation was built with the Holy Spirit, and whatever it is I may be working on or at, is just building from the foundation that the Holy Spirit put work in as a young child.

I have a foundation that I have been working on all my life.
There have been walls built in the past, but they have crumbled and fallen down.
I don't intend to build any more walls, though I may build some windows and doors.

We all chose a foundation to build our life on the question is what kind of foundation will we chose. The foolish man built his house upon the sand. This refers to man's philosophy and wisdom. They build it without considering how weak a foundation they build on. Don't be so foolish to build walls first until you have a good foundation. Consider your personal philosophy in life and than see how it com pairs with biblical values than realigned yourself with the stronger foundation. I suspect you find that God and God's word is the best foundation.
You can look at your life and say it looks good on the outside but honest and true reflection often show that the foundation for our life is weak. We often build the walls of our life first than start on the foundation. Just start all over and begin with a good foundation.

Without a foundation there would be no reason to build walls. However, the architecture of the walls is up to each individual.

I didn't want the walls I built. So I put up no foundation. Luckily the walls fell (after I put in alot of work with an emotional bulldozer). Now I'm free of walls, and I like the view.

At present, I'm considering to build foundations for my mysterious founding life for the free walls I would build.

Solid as a rock with sturdy doors. The roof has a sliding bubble that allows for open air and star gazing inside the compound but can be closed to keep out bad weather that would damage the crops. Tiny cottages surround the ceremonial hall with its stone hearths, cooking fires and brick ovens. The banquet room is informal with sturdy benches and tables and the lounge area has stereo speakers that allow for music or theatre events. Tempurpedic pillows and matresses are kept in a cedar chest for sleep over events.

I did nothing of the sort. Others laid the foundation but I refused to build the walls.
Am living in a cave ever since...with no door, just a stone that can be easily moved. All the wandering wearied souls are welcome. You will not find a treasure in this cave, like Ali Baba did, but a loving caring heart...

The foundation is a result of the accumulation of experience over many lifetimes.
The walls are constantly being renovated to accommodate change and to promote further growth.
