God, grant me the serenity to accept the people I cannot change.
The courage to change the people I can.
And the wisdom to bury the people deep enough who I can't change.

I enjoyed your senility prayer. A lot of truth there.
I pray to God many times each day. It's like an ongoing conversation some days. Other days there are big favors and special requests from me to God.

Good one. But don't pray to be senile. God answers prayers! Yes I pray, but I pray for the people who I don't like. Jesus told us to pray for our enemies, it's a hard one, but you eventually get there, with gritted teeth. There was another prayer similar to that. Can't think of it. As usual, I've just woken up , Saturday morning in Brisbane:)

I like that one. lol I'd say that's a pretty good outlook, covers a lot of ground, in a few words.
Seriously I do pray about everything. It's what gets me through the days-good and bad.

hahahhaahahah pretty much mine too. And I do pray daily, somedays it's Good Lord, it's morning. Other days it's Good morning , Lord.
I sometimes pray at other times of the day as well, and before I go to sleep. I usually ask the Lord to keep the world as safe as humanly possible.

My prayers probably aren't the kind generally accepted in polite society. I carry on one-sided conversations in my mind with God. I think he knows what's going on and how I feel about it. He gives help where he thinks I need it and gives me a small amount of guidance the rest of the time and lets me do it myself.
He hasn't yet provided me with a taser to get even with folks who really need it, though.

Yes, I pray as it is conversation with my creator. Prayer is the one thing which brings peace and even joy, in the worse of situations. It is a daily thing for me and something which is just as important to me as the air I breathe!

I pray everyday, but not in those terms. You wouldn't mind me using that little prayer from time to time, would you? LOL. I've had days where a prayer like that would have come in real handy. LOL
But in all seriousness, I do pray.

Yes I pray. I pray my discernment improves with age so I allow less of those folks who are counterproductive and negative into my inner circle. If senility is what it takes to forget them then I embrace it.
Pretty good and welcome prayer, Gold Wing.

Can't get by without prayer in my life.
Other than that, God grant me the sanity to ignore mean spirited people, show them genuine kindness, and God I pray not to get Altzheimer's or anything that keeps me in the care of a Nursing Home or one of my Children.

Its a good one, of course getting hit on the head and losing a lot of your memory makes it challenging, I run into people I apparently know but have no idea who they are, or if I even like them. LOL
The real challenge is the few (thank God) times I have encountered guys I apparently went out with at one time. Both times they seemed to like me so thats a relief, I guess we parted on good terms. The one guy I would like to know WHY. He's pretty cute - so thats a puzzle.
Its interesting to not remember who your friends are, and more interesting to not know who isnt your friend.
I just forget everyone apparently.
