I used the ring in the past and loved it, I went probably 6 mos. without it, and then started again. This time around i've been VERY emotional and it drives me crazy! My Dr. told me to help with that I should leave it in for 4 weeks then remove it and immediately replace it with a new one. She also mentioned it would prevent me from having a period. Is it safe to leave it in? My main concern is not having a period and how healthy that is for me. Does anyone know?

If your Dr recommended it they why worry? In all honesty our bodies weren't meant to have as many periods as we have now. We were meant to get pregnant, nurse a baby, get pregnant again. It doesn't harm you at all to not have a period.

If you are unsure it's always ok to get a 2nd opinion. Ask another health care provider.
