How do i stop my self from looking down while walking in the streets?

I'm not shy or anything, i just have a problem when walking, i look down a lot... I was not like this before, any tips? thanks

Focus on what's ahead of you. I'm a hunter and always scan around like I'm looking for something.

I find myself looking down at the sidewalk all the time. I like to look around, sort of sight on several different things, let the eyes travel and check out the scenery but I have learned the hard way that to take my eyes off the sidewalk even for a moment might have me tripping on some uneven or broken or something like a driveway indentation and not only does it hurt the surprise has as itself a great teacher in walking habits on the sidewalks.

Sounds like a subconscious thing. It's supposed to be a sign of weakness, submission or avoidance.

Make a conscious effort to casually look people in the eye and if you have to break eye contact, look off to the side. Focusing on others takes the focus off you.

Focus on the scenery around you. Be present in the moment. We're too caught up in our own MENTAL NOISE that we forget the NOW. Look, a bird, a flower, a tree, look at the beauty of it... It can teach you inner peace. Lol a TREE has less problems than us humans!

Just be conscious of walking with your head up. You could even get friends to remind you so when they notice u doing it you can stop. Keep doing it until it becomes automatic. In the end it will feel unnatural to look down.

look at objects that are not on the ground... unless theres a bad ground, and ur in danger of tripping..

but just dont look at people... especially strangers.. they will think ur weird.. and rude for staring, and then ull be lookin down all over again
