I feel like my body has gotten totally out of shape,
so I got my doctor's permission to
join a fitness club and start exercising.
I decided to take an aerobics class for seniors.
I bent, twisted, gyrated, jumped up and down, and perspired for an hour. But,
by the time I got my leotards on,
the class was over.

This is how I feel about working out on many days!

I worked out today
It all revolved around getting my PC to work properly so I can down load photos.
I did lots of mouth work-cussing, swearing.
Arm & hand work-typing, slamming, pounding, an occasional middle finger sent skyward.
Foot & body work- sitting on my butt all day, slamming foot down, kicking a few things around.
Does this count?
If not- you know what u can do about it.

Oh, that was to cute. lol
I can relate, I used to exercise regularly and I have really gotten out of the habit lately. I finally got a pedometer this week and started walking again. I have a friend who is 74 and she goes to exercise classes at the senior center twice a wk. (I'm 51). She is always on the go, so maybe if I hang out with her enough I'll get moving again too. lol

I do water aerobics 3 times a week year around..{outside pool} People will say "it's raining and you are going to the pool?" I'm going to get wet anyway so what difference does it make? I can sure tell when I go away and don't exercise for a few weeks..my knees let me know how lax I have been..

I`m not into aerobic stuff ...my sister and I walk everyday. Otherwise some situps and general stuff like that. I`ve lost about 8lbs in the last 3mths. My B/P is like 94/60...so that is directly related to dropping the 8lbs `cause it was always 120/ 70 or so before. I want to keep it low too.

I have no idea what you are talking about. Fitness, exercising, aerobics? I certainly don't know what those things are! I remember wearing a leotard when I was 6 years old in ballet. I hope they don't make them in my age! LOL

Yeah, I know, but remember, in order to stay in shape and keep our minds clear, it's gotta be done.

For me, I can't work out like I did when I was younger, but I walk, everyday, to keep myself in shape. And, to insure that I will be able to continue to walk, rather than use a wheelchair. No Sir, there's nobody putting me in that wheelchair when I can still walk. Because I use a walker, my upper body strength keeps up with what's going on with every other part of my body. I'm doin' good.

Well when I have to take mom and or dad to the doctor, I help them get dressed and that takes a long time, plus I do a lot of sweating and by the time I get them dressed I need another shower. Does that count as a work out? lol

hahahahahaha !!!! I do work out every day but it is to keep my muscles toned to stay in the same shape they were in when I was going to Physical Therapy. I don't ever want to go back so it gives me the incentive to keep in shape !!!! But I can remember years ago when I bought Jane Fonda's first workout !! I busted my behind exercising with that woman only to find out what I thought was the whole thing was just the warmup !!! *smile*

Are you sure you were trying to get your leotard on! I mean you prayed for God to give you senility! GW, you make me laugh, long and hard! :) I think that is how we all feel, many, many days, about working out. So I forget it!

Hahaha! Funny!
How about putting talcum first before putting on the leotards?
