I am a centrist and don't want either extreme to hold too much power for too long, it already seemed like the Democrats were set to rule the executive and legislative branches for the foreseeable future but now the conservatives have ensured this...81% of Americans including a MAJORITY OF REPUBLICANS support the SCHIP children's healthcare expansion that was just vetoed(http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2007/10/17/opinion/polls/main3378278.shtml)

What kind of political strategy is this? I guess they must have only polled tree-hugging Islamic communists

Of course 81% support SCHIP. Only 15-20% are going to have to pay for it!

Good thing there are still some minorities you can pick on, right?

Because we Americans do not read nor known this document call the U.S. Constitution. The schip Bill is unconstitutional. Article 1 section 1 States All legislative Powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States. You will find the powers in Article 1 Section 8. There are eighteen things the Congress has the authority to do and provide heath care to children is not one of them. Lets get back to what are Founding Fathers wanted a limited self government. After all they did not formed a national government they formed a Federalist gov. . I will close with the Ten Amendment The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution nor prohibited by it to the States are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

Assuming that does happen the blame will lie right at the feet of the uneducated voter and entitlement seeking lazy idiots.

When told the SCHIP program would redefine poverty at $82000 and a child at 25 yrs old that poll instantly changes.
So I revert back to blaming uneducated voters

The conservatives don't control the Press! If they did the US would be winning the war PR. The one's that have bothered to look it to the Bill must be all of the 19% that are against it. The libs know the knee jerk reaction to it's for the kids.

If Clinton remains the Democratic frontrunner and wins the election, she's not a virulent left-winger, despite what all the neocons on here say, she's pretty much a centrist like her husband. But yes, you could blame the neocons to be most precise, they've hijacked the Republican Party and evidently are bound and determined to be crushed in the next election.

and everybody assumes hillary is automatic...give me a break..if your truly a centrist then why are you such a pushover for liberal media bias...remember dewey defeats truman in the forties. trust me, the battle to save us from socialism is far from over. and no conservatives should not be held responsible for lunatic liberals. no one held a gun to your head and told you to believe pelosi.
