Why dose the Roman Numeral 4 look like this on the clock in my house?

Isn't suppose to be like this 'IV' not 'IIII'

It is sometimes written as IIII but it is much more common as IV.

It was done to make the clock-face look balanced.
Because eight was written VIII on the other side.
