Bush has done everything wrong in Iraq from the decision to invade, through the abject lack of planning and lack of understanding of the history of Iraq, to the incredibly bad mismanagement of the war.

Every stage of this disaster has been handled badly including pushing out the generals and civilians who tried to tell the truth about this war such as General Shinseki and Larry Lindsey.

Continuing the occupation of Iraq at a cost of 2 billion dollars a week to the taxpayers is unacceptable. There is no benefit to the American people, although the long-term gains to the oil companies regarding control of Iraqi oil have been the Bush administration’s goal from the beginning.

It was a bad idea to invade Iraq in the first place, and the plan to invade was inadequate for rebuilding the country and ensuring security. We don't have enough troops there to turn the country into some sort of American-like Democracy (which might not even be possible, even with 500,000 troops if Iraqis don't want that). So, no, he's not doing the right thing, he's trying to avoid admitting that he ever screwed up in the first place. Unfortunately, or fortunately depending on how you look at it, he's taking the Republican Party down with him.

not since day 1 ... Iraq has never posed any threat to the US ... this is a war of opportunity, and all the right people are getting very, very rich

he had my full support in Afghanistan ... but I will never support military industrial theocracy, we have big problems when big business is calling the shots, and the media refuses to be effective whistle-blowers

What, you don't like the US helping the new Iraqi police and Army? Yes we are there to help them and to help protect the innocent Iraqis from the terrorist insurgents which are coming from Iran, Syria and Lebanon.
