Hmmm and I hate it every time I do it or when someone does it to me its a stupid pause hmm well I am not really listening so I will say hmm to just make you think I am or hmm that was a stupid comment and I am not going to say anything back it is just stupid but I do all the time.

I've long used the word "engaging" to describe things that are, well, engaging. It's a proactive word.
And when I'm angry -- or when I stub my toes -- I spew out a conglomeration of swear words: MotherF-GodD-SOB. Except not in acronym form, obviously! :-)

I love to say, "like," "whatever," or "you know." I'm sure my friends get tired of hearing me say these words when I speak but it's a habit, you know!
