They broke up in 1970, but have reunited for tours in 1981, 1993 and 2003/04. They played together at the Kennedy Center a few months ago and word is they might tour Australia next year. The 03/04 reunion tour was massive. I doubt they'll do another big American tour, but maybe some charity dates here and there in addition to the Australian shows coming up.

If I'm not mistaken They did a few years back.
If not hope they do. Incredible music.
I stand corrected found this.
On February 23, 2003, Simon and Garfunkel reunited to perform in public for the first time since 1993, singing "The Sounds of Silence" as the opening act of the Grammy Awards.

Oh that's complicated.. as much as i admire Sound of Silence, Parsley, Sage, Rosemary & Thyme and Bridge Over bothered Water, i think of my well-known is Bookends. BQ- 'Hazy color of wintry climate' BQ2- Simon & Garfunkel, yet by using making use of a wee bit Np :)

They did a reunion tour in 2003 . There is a dvd (i have it)
called 'Old Friends' -- 'Live On Stage'
Will they form again? Who knows , but I would guess at least one more time before they pack it in.
p.s. there is an unusual moment where ,in the middle of their set, they acknowledge The Everly Brothers as inspirational and then they come out and perform 3 songs.Very cool

I don't think it's too likely... i mean i'm sure at SOME point they have to but as of now i couldnt say when. Paul Simon is doing fine on his own, and before they did their Grammy performance (i think it was the grammys...) they got in a fight about something or another.
sorry, but dont hold your breath.

They are both already at the stage where they need wheelchairs & walking frames, so unless they hurry up, the reunion show will be "Weekend At Bernies 3"...
