There were some very odd calls last night. Although, Rutgers is a very good team, especially at home. Did the bookmakers play a part in the officiating a little bit?

NO WAY Vegas could've played a part in this game. There was weird calls but thats going to happen eventually in a college game. It was just a good game with a good finish, kinda sucks for USF though cause in the preseason who thought they'd be #2 in the nation

Vegas always plays somekind of role whenever there are huge, spotlight games with a huge number of bettors on a particular side. Nobody wants to admit it, but it's true. At least that's what I believe. Remember though, it may not just be officials. It can also be the players (performance) and/or coaches (playcalling).
Heck, it doesn't work all the time (or I'd be rich), but when there is way too many bettors on one side/team, I bet the other side or just simply stay away from betting the game entirely.

75% on South Florida -2
25% on Rutgers +2
70% on South Florida ML -130
30% on Rutgers ML +110

No. Rutgers would have won easily if it weren't for the two muffed punts. USF should have never got the ball back because that holding call on Rutgers was cheesy at best.

Al is a moron, and your notion is ridiculous. Las Vegas casinos want fair games more than anyone. The opening betting lines of any sporting event are representative of what they think will produce equal bets for each team, and the lines will change depending on what people bet on. They make money regardless of who wins, as long as someone isn't cheating and makes a huge, last minute bet on one team or the other. Fixed games would ruin their profit margin.

And for this particular game, they would have no problem evening out the betting. Close games are the biggest moneymakers for casinos. The only time they take a chance of losing is if one team is a huge favorite and garners all the bets, regardless of the line. That is why they will often not take bets on games with blowout likelihood.

rutgers won cuz of special teams.. they're offense didnt do much cuz without the punters long throw setting up a score and the 3rd string qb's toughdown pass on the fake and the blocked fg (and the list goes on) its easily a 2 or 3 touchdown win for USF.. rutgers deserved it tho

I didn't think the officiating was off. Seemed very normal. I think that USF's inability to tackle Ray Rice is what lost the game for them. The USF defense looks good and fast, but their linebackers are unusually poor tacklers by linebacker standards.

Not sure, but that line looked like a trap. #2 team in the country at an unranked opponent and only giving 2 points. Reminds me of the line on the Wisconsin v. Illinois game a few weeks ago when the Badgers were #5

correcto the first half america played a really good game and was still playing okay when the second goal came but after the 3rd you could see clearly that the team was devastated. yo un tengo fe de que podemos ganar si los jugadores le dan con todo, i mean when we received the 3rd goal all of the players instead of fighting back and giving their all they just stop and let the Brazilians take the game, with that attitude we are never going to win. los cambios que hizo el romano hechar andar mal el equipo, para que saca al more por higuain (es bueno pero no era pa que more saliera) y despues mete al estupido de nunez que le vale madre todo. yes its not imposible to win in brazil but we have to with by a difference of 3 which is nearly but not imposible, yes we an do it without romano.
