ie. would a $50,000 salary, plus $15,000 for housing (although living in a church owned parsonage) actually be a $65,000 package...and a paycheck of $65,000 divided by 12 per month ($5416.66/mo)?

Ask the church accountant. In most cases, you receive church provided housing OR a housing allowance. Receiving both may not even be legal.
