Your last point is well-taken - all us Irish are just too sexy to fly, as it happens. I take it to its logical extreme and don't even go up in hot-air balloons. What that has to do with dogs and flying, though, I'm not sure. Given your strong arguments about flying (furriness and love of meat => ability to fly) I'm baffled as well. I guess I never had it explained so clearly to me before. Perhaps they do fly (by sheer force of will, of course) but just make sure that nobody sees them do so. It would certainly explain a lot. Stonehenge, for instance, and Halley's Comet. Not to mention Area 51 and Paris Hilton.

Do you think a dog is aerodynamically capable of flying? The only mammal that flies is the bat. Ask the bat.

Well, The dog's Ancestors are wolves, and they are pack animals. To feed a pack of 12-30 Wolves, you need a very big animal. There are not too many large animals flying around to for a large pack.

With evolution there are many possibilities and few probabilities. So even though it is possible for a dog to evolve to be able to fly, it remains improbable. Especially within your lifetime.

John, You have a tendency to go to the wrong sections of a country. Stay out of the ghettos and red light districts you won't see that. The only thing you stated that was correct is the supermarkets at SM, Gaisano and Ayala do smell like ammonia. That is from the refrigerators leaking ammonia.

They don't need to. Evolution happens because the species needs to adapt to their environment to live and breed. Dogs are doing just fine without having to fly. :)

Ridiculous question. The species that evolve will always be an infinitesimal subset of those that could have evolved.
