It all depends on the condition it is in.

If it is BU - Brilliant Uncirculated then it may be worth more than $1.00

It is worth $3.00 if it is in BU condition.

It is worth $8.00 if it has a high silver content.

The cleaner the condtion of any coin increases its value.

With really old coins, the mint that struck the coin will have an effect on its value as well.

Every mint struck a certain number of each coin and the coins with a small minting will be of greater value.

In the 1960s only Denver "D" and the Philledelphia mint (no mint mark) made coins. I think the San Francisco mint struck coins in the 1970s, and some didn't have mint marks.

The Ike dollars seem to be a dead series at least for now. They never went over when they came out anyway. As was said there are some varieties of the 1972 that are showing a little sign of life but again only in mint state. As to someone actually collecting them is another matter. I have not seen any for sale at the coin dealers I have visited. If you can afford to keep them for a while do so but it may take many years for the series to catch on. I put a complete set together in mint state with the proof and the silver ones and put them away. I kind of like them but know at least in the near future I will not be rich. If you need the money spend them. I get the impression they are not in mint state (uncirculated) so I don't think you will ever lose much.

According to a website I came upon, it's worth about 20 dollars, but go to the website to see why I am saying this. And then adjust the price from that.

Coin colectors might pay more if it's in good condition. My dad collected coins when he was young. There should be a web site for coins and there price range.

If the condition is at least "extra fine" it worth at least $2.oo.

Of course it worth much more to the collector who needs that particular one to finish his/her collection. They are not rare so good luck finding THAT collector !

: ) Happy Friday
