I find this story expecially scary because of my criminal record...
Most offenses are misdemeanors, but when I failed to appear at court for about...5 arrests...that becomes a felony.twice I received "Warrent for my arrest" letters in the mail. The letter had my last name spelled wrong and had my birthday listed wrong.

Since then I have gotten my ID' checked by the police....and they let me go. Iv'e even gone to court and they said "we have no record of you"....I'm scared it might pop up in the future...

Now is the time to get the warrants straightened out as far as your name and birthdate. Don't put it off and hope it doesn't happen. I have a wonderful story about my ex and how they picked him up on a warrant from the hospital. lol He deserved it... you don't. Talk to a lawyer or someone who can help take care of it now. Good luck.

i can see why your uneasy about this article. so, would i. i don't believe it's right to come after this guy now. i mean, he did make an effort to fix his wrong. it was the courts fault. btw, i'm only referring to misdemeanors. any crimes that are more serious should not be taken lightly and they should serve their time. just be careful. try to follow courts orders as best as you can.
