Ok #1 I assume you know that you can't have alcohol in it ;-)
Most commercially available eggnog is pasteurized and perfectly safe (check the container it will say somewhere that it is pasteurized).
Home made eggnog *may* be made with raw eggs. However some people use cartoned eggs (which are pasteurized) and some people do pasteurize the eggs at home. Even it the eggs are raw the risk of contracting Listeria from eggs in Canada and the US is really very low. Very rarely do pregnant women avoid all runny eggs -which you would have to do to avoid the risk of salmonella.
Some recommend washing eggs prior to opening them as the salmonella is generally on the outside of the shell, however almost all commercially available eggs have been washed prior to shipping which strips them of the antibacterial coating which prevents salmonella from getting through the shell. However in theory this washing also removes all salmonella in the first place. So if it makes you feel better it won't hurt but I don't believe it makes any difference.
Salmonella also does not cross the placenta and very rarely makes healthy (even pregnant) women more than mildly ill for a few days.

eggnog from the store should be fine it is pasturized and should be as safe as cooked eggs or plain milk (non-alcoholic of course, but you knew that). But if your concerned ask your doc at your next checkup.

I agree about the non-alcoholic, store bought, pastuerized egg nog. It has been heated to remove the raw eggs and bacteria. Drink up!

Make sure it is a store-bought one that says "Pasteurized" on the carton. I have made homemade, and that contains eggs that are not fully cooked, so those are not safe.

As long as there's no alcohol or raw eggs in it, it's fine.
