No. The US is becoming a hypocritical joke. Too many here claim to honor and respect one thing, while their actions tell an entirely different story.

It's called outsourcing. The Chinese have lots of experience in building high security walls. But, it didn't work against the Mongols. US military contracts prohibit the use of foreign made materials in weapons. Yet, most guidance electronic and computer components are from Malaysia. All our naval ships have props made in Japan. Frankly I think I'll be a bit suprised if they don't send a few thousand Chinese Coolies to the US to assemble that wall. After all cheaper again than American laborers. The way to stop illegal immigration is simply to deport their employers and landlords to the same country they their employees and renters come from. That would stop it faster than anything.

I wouldn't recommend using Chinese steel for anything--it is probably tainted with lead like everything else being shipped from there these days.

What's wrong with using steel produced in china? China is now the largest producer of steel in the world. There are also tariffs imposed on steel imports from China.

Sure, the threat of lead poisoning, might be an extra deterrent.

Might as well make it out of something cheap, isn't like there won't be tunnels under it within a week.
