Yes and I won't forget it. I went into this lounge to use their facilities after work. I had just got paid and it was dark when I got off. I had cashed my check and put the money in the band of my pantie girdle for safe keeping. When I used the toilet I simply flushed it out of habit before I got up.
When I stood up I turned and saw all my hard earned money
swilling round and round down the hole. I cried like a baby but there was nothing I could do about it!!

My grand kids dropped a bunch of their small toys facial scrubs all sorts of sponges and some mystery objects down my upstairs toilet and it cost me $500.00 to get it pulled up.
Needless to say I placed a lock on the outside door after that because that wasn't the half of it . The stool over flowed and I had a small flood upstairs and that made the ceiling of my downstairs bathroom fall in and I had to pay to have that re-plastered and painted too!

Yes, when I was in high school (forever long ago) I dropped my purse in the toilet....before I could flush!!! It was horrible! I placed it on the back of the toilet and when I stood up it fell in. Well I had to get it out and then for the next 15 minutes or so I was scrubbing it down and everything I could salvage from it. I had a teacher come in looking for me and I had to explain what happened. I think she was holding back from laughing. :(

Yes, this question brings back bad memories. It was a lovely summer day, and I was straightening my hair while listening to my brand new ipod. I picked up the straightener with much force, and the ipod swung away from my grip and it plopped into the toilet. I was amazed for a second, and I just watched the ipod sink slowly to the bottom as the screen slowly faded to black......my ipod was dead. I cried for a second and then I slowly lifted it out of the toilet with a fish net. It was completely destroyed, and I learned my lesson.

Yes.

One time I had just finished taking a shower, and while wrapping a towel around me I knocked my glasses off of the shelf above my toilet and they got knocked in. I react quickly to things like that, and I just reached into the toilet and got them. After doing that I was just like-ew!

I don't remember this, but my mom told me. She said that once I went through her coat pocket and picked up her keys and a few dimes. Then she explained how I flushed them down the toilet and how badly I got in trouble. It became such a big deal, because that was the only set of car keys we had.

BYE!

I don't remember whether I have or not; but in raising three children there have been countless things dropped in the toilet. Many of them absolutely had to be retrieved. I just donned rubber gloves and washed the item in soapy water with bleach and let it dry. LOL

You learn to deal with it when you have kids. Believe me they put all kinds of things in their mouths. Oprah had a show once that tested bacteria. There is more to worry about at your kitchen sink than in the toilet!!

Ohhh yeaaah! I don't remember what I dropped...it's been a while. But I've done it a few times. I think I've just used my hands and also used the handle of a comb.
I KNOW I have never dropped a toothbrush! :D
Oh yeah, one time I was in a public bathroom & I kicked the knob the flush & my snap came off my pants (loose) & fell right into the flushing water! It all happened so fast but it was kinda funny. Thank God I had a safety pin in my purse! :D

...well, not by accident... I take my neighbors cat and put dish soap on the cat, then toss the cat in the toilet bowl, quickly closing the lid... the cat does a marvelous job of cleaning the bowl... I open the lid and the back door and the cat "flys" out and down the road... flush the toilet a few times... poof, sparkling clean...

I dropped my cellphone into the toilet while my bf was peeing and I had to reach in and get it. I rinsed it off with water... took everything apart and let it dry... It still worked. This was while I was in germany and I didn't have a spare $300 to replace it. I had no choice.

comb. Toilet brush.

Funny story I heard last week, bear with me:

A mom was teaching her son how to brush his teeth. She taught him how to do the small circles, cleaning the gums as well. Brushing his tongue one direction and then rinsing and spitting...But, oops. When he was reaching for the towel, his elbow knocked the toothbrush into the potty. The mom used the toilet brush to pull it out and tossed the toothbrush into the trash bin. Her son, curious, watched closely. "Why did you throw away my brush, Mommy?" "Well, son, when you drop something in the potty, it gets dirty, so you throw it away." "Cool." Her son dropped off the stool on which he was standing, ran down the hall and rushed into the bathroom where his mom was waiting. He came in holding a toothbrush and tossed it into the trash bin. "Sorry, I didn't know, Mom. But I accidentally knocked it into the potty last week." ;-)
