Honestly, what were they thinking when they wrote the constitution? If you have nothing to hide there's no need for warrants!
4th down, We'll have to work on the 5th amendment next. If you have nothing to hide, why should you care about being forced to testify against yourself?
What other ridiculous rights stand in the way of our freedom?

The "nothing to hide" argument is perhaps the most irrational one every to hit the streets -- and the Founding Fathers knew first hand what the dangers are of allowing a govt to search and seize without any checks and balances -- which is why they put the 4th Amendment in there.
Each of the Bill of Rights up through the 8th was to address a specific problem that had been ongoing under the previous govt -- and to ensure that the new govt wouldn't do the same thing.
The bottom line is that the govt CANNOT legally spy on US citizens or residents without a warrant. Period. That's in the text of the Constitution and nothing short of an Amendment will change that. The "nothing to hide" argument misses the point entirely -- which is about whether the US govt is allowed to ignore its own laws or whether it must follow the law.
See John Dean's recent article on the subject for more details.

Thomas Jefferson and the founding fathers had our first international war with islamic terrorists and established America as a superpower when europe could do nothing to stop the islamic terrorist barbary pirates.
It was our first "illegal" war. Thomas Jefferson decided we would pay ransoms no longer and told the congress we were going to attack them only after the ships were far enough away that they couldn't be turned back. (at the time we were paying half of our GDP to islamic terrorists as ransoms)Ron Paul would have had a fit. But Thomas Jefferson did the right thing and we defeated the islamic terrorists "on the shores of tripoli" after a ten year war with islam. And they did not bother us for almost 200 years. Ron Paulites who think RP is right about his foreign policy should research Thomas Jefferson and the barbary pirates and see that the founding fathers were not weak with islamic terrorism.

Oh, your post was sarcasm?
It's hard to tell nowadays, with how many stupid things everyday people believe.
We have no freedom or liberty if the government is allowed to wipe its feet on the constitution. The constitution is the only thing stopping Nazi-like Big Brother from oppressing the public.
(Free speech and gun ownership included in the constitution, of course.)

Try reading the English language version, you might understand it better. Obviously your teachers in school didn't understand the Constitution because you don't.

The founding fathers saw no need for a regular military. Of course that would be ridiculous in this day and age. "Conservative" politicians claiming to follow the Constitution see no problem in spending everybody's money to have a huge Federal army! Of course this is necessary but please give up the false pretexes, please!

Giving them that much power will just lead to abuse and corruption. Most have nothing to hide but letting the government do what they wish is the last thing you and me want.

It's sacrilegious to have more amendments to the Constitution than the Bible has commandments.
