The word hate crimes is just another gimmick to put a certain label on someone or something, a crime by law is a crime no matter who it is committed against

You can't correct a crime. A Hate Crime is contrived to provide special rights to a societal group. The same physical assault crime will be prosecuted differently depending on what the assailant said while committing the crime. If the assailant says a particular ethnic or sexual slur, the crime becomes a "Hate Crime". The criminal is hit with additional charges for what they were 'thinking' when they committed the crime. Regardless of what might or might not be said during the offense, the victim is just as injured.

! ."Hate Crimes" is a buzz word that the PC bunch uses to try and control what you are thinking by making thoughts and opinions a crime by definition. It is nothing more than a police state effort to control your life.
2. To correct any human behavior requires changing human nature... a very difficult task. If people behave themselves and act correctly there would be no need for any laws (Hate crimes included). However, it doesn't help that Leftist are always pitting one group against another and picking one group or another to place favor on to the exclusion of others. All that does is cause resentment and infighting.

Well it will never be corrected because theres all kinds of hate around the world and a hate crime is a crime that is committed toward a person because of mayb there race, sexual perference, beliefs and etc.say if someone was getting beat up and as the person was doing it there calling the person a gay bastard in court that would stand out as ur beat the person up because they were gay and u dont like gay people. To me it makes no sense but to other people they haate things for a reason....

Hate crimes are defined by doing the crime because of a prejudice. The laws can be corrected by being taken off the books. Crime is crime. This only leads to Hate Speech laws which tells people what to think and is everything our country is against.

Hate crime is a horrible part of this wonderfull world. If you are different from me I hate you,but how much more of a difference from me gives me the rite to hurt you in any way?
Now we have it in this society groups and people protecting "minorities".But some take it so far that it creates a whole new hatred that even turns a "minority"to hate crimes.

Hate crimes are not separate crimes -- they are sentence enhancements on other underlying crimes, based on a different mental state.
The underlying crime -- assault, harassment, stalking, threatening, battery, murder, whatever -- still has to happen.
Then, if the prosecutors can prove that the victim was attacked (targeted) solely based on their membership in some protected class -- race, religion, whatever -- then they can tack on the enhancment for the hate crime.
The argument that "all crimes are because of hate" misses the point entirely -- just as an intentional homicide or battery can be punished more severely than a negligent (careless) or reckless action -- based on the more culpable mental state -- in the same way, the desire to attack an ENTIRE GROUP and doing it by attacking the most accessible member of that group is more severe than just wanting to attack and harm a single individual.
That's the point of the enhancement -- in a "normal" crime, the victim is targeted as an individual -- in a hate crime, the victim is targetted solely because they are a member of a particular group, and the real intent of the criminals is to do the same thing to every other member of the group.
There's nothing to be "corrected" -- the sentence enhancement is appropriate for those who really do want to attack every member of a particular group, but have only so far attacked one or a few 'representatives' of that group -- just as sentences for those who intentionally cause harm are worse than for those who do it by accident or carelessness.

Hate crimes are purpose-full attacks on others due to hatred. I.E Car bombing, smashing of house windows or even T.P'ing a house...they can be resolved by being nicer and having no enemies :P
