My wife is a charge nurse in the provincial main hospital here and she swears every oath that, come full moon, the patients go completely bonkers on a scale which to negate would border on the feeble-minded.
She's usually running after two-thirds of the patients in those nights, half of whom are convinced to be Napoleon or need to sign a paper in Argentina.
Personally, I try to lay low in those nights, because my wife might otherwise find out I'm one of THEM.
;-)

Yes, i think there is a difference. I've always heard the story
that the hospitals are crazy during a full moon.
Can't really say i've ever noticed my pets doing anything too unusual tho or wildlife either.
I always seem to KNOW when the moon is full although i can't say how or why?

Actually there is a scientific theory that suggests the behavioral changes during a full or new moon is due to it's greater gravitational pull during this stage because the sun and moon work together. Of course there's no evidence to back this up.

Yes, wildlife will feed at night (my husband hunts) like deer. Cats will not take as many naps and begin to act strangly, I have had a lot of pet cats, and one was half bob. People get really bitchy because it pulls the water in our bodies. That's why a woman's cycles will follow the moon if they retain a lot of water, and more babies are born on a full moon, my dad is a paramedic, and more loonies are place in the er pych ward, this was told to me by a group of cops at the hospital.

Lunacy is an old myth. Unfortunately, most of the crazies adhere to the myth.
I used to be a waitress, and the few days around the full moon a lot of weirdos popped up. Lost of people yelling and freaking out in the restaurant.
It's not the moon that does it-- but crazies follow myths and think it's true. So they go a bit loopy I guess.

Ask any nurse at the hospital what happens when there is full moon and you will have your answer! Part of it comes from the barometric pressure changes, people who are sensitive to changes react quite strongly. Hence the reason why people who have mental disorders tend to go a little loopy on those days...people with mental illnesses tend to have sensitivities to many things that 'normal' people do not (this is researchable, if you are skeptical...just look at all the brilliant people who have been mentally ill as well...there is something different about their degree of attunement with other forces).

nicely, the mind-blowing blinding gentle from an entire moon will easily make maximum astronomers somewhat cranky. possible additionally think of, that some time past, while the night became lit purely by potential of candle, oil lamp, and torch gentle, that the visual charm of an finished moon and a brightly lit night, ought to materially substitute the habit of the community. think of with the flexibility to seek, harvest, or play, throughout a ingredient of the day that's many times too dark for such issues. yet, we live in an artificially lit international; and despite effect the Moon could have as quickly as had over our nocturnal activities is now much less. besides the certainty that, you should constantly beware of cranky astronomers.

No. Because there is none. Because the full moon has virtually NO effect on terrestrial animals (including humans).
Edit: regarding daweeezl's comment: It's laughable that he could call this alleged theory scientific. The phase of the moon is in no way related to its gravitational effect on the earth. The vast majority of scientific studies conducted regarding the "full moon effect" have shown, virtually proven, that there is ABSOLUTELY NO CONNECTION WHATSOEVER between human behavior--suicides, crimes, children's behavior, patients in hospitals, whatever--and the phase of the moon.
So, you can listen to science, or you can listen to a bunch of amusing anecdotes from your fellow answerers. Of course I've found that, in the mind of the layperson, one compelling anecdote often trumps a thousand rigorous scientific studies.

I'm a nurse and i used to work nights. during a full moon it seemed like all the crazies would think they needed to be in the hospital. there is an old addege "You know your a nurse when you don't even have to look up to know it is a full moon" LOL ask anyone who has worked at a hospital at night.

Not really, but my father tells me about how his mother used to break an egg into some liquid(can't remember the name) and it would take the shape of an animal, but it would ONLY work on a full moon
