Bitten by a snake, defending her burrow.

This probably shouldn't be in the hobby section...
Flower's burrow was invaded by a Cobra. The burrow had her babies inside.
Beside the good leader and good mother she was, she went in after it.
Tragedy struck! Noble Flower, the Whisker's noble leader, was bit by the cobra!
(They showed a shot of her with her face all swollen, then a shot of her dead, in the entrance of the burrow. No mention of what happened to the kids? Who would feed them, were they weaned?
Now, I know animal researchers aren't supposed to get involved, but couldn't they intervene for the sake of life or death, and get the poor critter to a vet?)
Had to reach for a tissue during that epi.
PS. My mother's cat loves to watch Meerkat Manor.

She was protecting her cubs from a snake. She was bitten. Not a big fan of that show. Just happen to see that episode. Luck.
