Because most people are just plain stupid.
I work with them.
I can't convince them that Iraq wasn't involved in the attack and I'm sure if King George says that Iran did it they will forget Iraq.

I don't. And I don't recall the reason being Iraq hiding weapons of mass destruction either. The reasons for the Congress authorizing military action can be found in the source below. Precious little mention of WMDs in that Act of Congress.
However, I do find it more than passing strange that the first bombing of the World Trade Center in 1993 happened on the second anniversary of the day that the UN Peace Enforcement Mission kicked Iraqi troops out of Kuwait.

The attack on Iraq was a con by supporters of Israel who work with Bush in the White House, there are about 35 of them. Wolfowitz was one but he was given the job as head of the World Bank.

Since it happened almost at the same time.
That got every one at loss and blurr on what went wrong out there.
Iraq itself got three mission impossible with them.
Revealation 16.12-16
Luke 24.44-45, 47-49
Ever wonder how everyone were all at loss and blurr out there..

Misinformation... assumptions... It's a logical connection to make, that it was simply to retaliate, without any other information. I'm not really sure, to be honest.
