Perhaps you need to improve the quality of your answers? In a "Polls and surveys" type of question, you can pretty-much disregard the thumbs-down, as all that means is that someone disagreed with your answer. It IS only a "Polls and surveys" question, after all, and those answers don't take anything more than an opinion, no real thought. Go to an area where a bit more knowledge is required to answer, and see how you do there.

I have one too....he/she pops up every so often and gives me a thumbs down no matter what I say.
